The Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) Youth Entrepreneurship Investment Holdings (hereinafter KVI) announced on the 22nd that it has been selected as the acceleration operating organization for the 'Yongin Biohealth Special Center,' established by Yongin City and the Yongin City Industrial Promotion Agency. KVI plans to actively promote a specialized accelerating program along with recruiting resident companies targeted at promising biohealth startups.
The 'Yongin Biohealth Special Center' serves as a business support hub for innovative startups in the biohealth sector. Various customized programs are run to support the growth of early-stage corporations, including the provision of workspace, commercialization support, investment connections, and network building.
KVI will be responsible for practical performance-centered acceleration in this program, including the establishment of customized growth strategies for corporations, specialized mentoring, investor connections, and demo days. Based on the accumulated know-how in the bio and deep tech fields and KAIST's research infrastructure, KVI plans to support the scale-up of companies.
The target participants are prospective founders and corporations in the biohealth sector, including AI and digital healthcare, medical devices, bio-diagnostics, and pharmaceuticals and biopharmaceuticals, that are within seven years of establishment. Selected corporations will be given free workspace and the opportunity to participate in the acceleration program operated by KVI.
The recruitment period for resident corporations is until August 26, and applications can be submitted online through the Yongin City Industrial Promotion Agency's Yongin Business Support System.
Through this program, KVI plans to discover promising biohealth startups and actively support them to ensure practical growth from the early stages to commercialization and investment.
