HYBE's label ADOR announced on the 21st that it has appointed Vice President Lee Do-kyung as the new CEO.
ADOR explained regarding the appointment of Lee that it is aimed at fully operating as a label that plans and manages activities related to music and performances of artists.
The new CEO joined HYBE (formerly Big Hit Entertainment), the parent company of ADOR, in 2019 to establish the company's vision and business strategy and has been engaged in various new business initiatives. In 2022, she served as Vice President of the IPX division of HYBE Music Group, promoting solution businesses using artist intellectual property (IP).
At that time, she oversaw the merchandise, pop-up store, and light stick business for artists affiliated with HYBE. She also planned and promoted a large-scale collaboration project, 'THE CITY,' which applies artist IP across cities where performances are held.
ADOR appointed Kim Joo-young, an expert in personnel management, as CEO in August 2024 to separate production and management and normalize organizational operations.
ADOR is home to the girl group NewJeans and held a global audition to recruit members for a next-generation boy group in June, preparing to produce new artists.
