The World Federation of Korean Business Associations (OKTA) announced on the 18th that it will host the '2025 OKTA Global Startup Competition' at the Songdo Convensia in Incheon from October 28 to 29.
The OKTA Global Startup Competition is an investment-linked competition for promising startups aspiring to enter the global market, involving Korean businesspeople from around the world, Silicon Valley venture capitalists (VCs), and accelerators (ACs). Winners will receive certificates and a monetary prize, as well as a variety of benefits including ▲ one-on-one investment consulting support ▲ connection to follow-up investments ▲ linkage to OKTA's overseas branch establishment projects ▲ entry into G6 global trade offices in Silicon Valley ▲ marketing for technology verification (POC) and subsequent promotional support.
In particular, all participating corporations will be able to take online entrepreneurship courses conducted by faculty from Stanford University and UC Berkeley, allowing them to experience real-world lectures from world-renowned universities.
Applications for the competition will be divided into ▲ the Pre-Startup League (for prospective founders or corporations established within three years) and ▲ the Startup League (for corporations established over three years or those with investment experience) and will be accepted through a Google Form until August 30.
Park Jong-beom, president of OKTA, said, 'OKTA is the largest organization of overseas Korean businesspeople in Korea, with 153 branches in 73 countries around the world, exerting influence in various regions.' He added, 'We will actively support this competition so that promising corporations can gain opportunities to enter the global market and turn their dreams into reality.'
