The government will conduct the "coexistence consumption lottery" event from August 1 to October 12, providing the chance to win 20 million won lottery for those who spend 50,000 won at traditional markets and small businesses. A total of 1 billion won in prize money will be distributed to 2,025 winners from first to fourth place.
The Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises and Startups announced on the 12th that it will implement the "coexistence consumption lottery" project targeting the amount spent starting August 1.
The "coexistence consumption lottery" provides a lottery chance for those who make a cumulative card payment exceeding 50,000 won at traditional markets and small businesses from August 1 to October 12, giving them a chance to win 20 million won worth of gift certificates. One lottery entry will be provided for every cumulative payment of 50,000 won, with up to 10 entries available for a maximum consumption of 500,000 won.
The prize money will be distributed as digital gift certificates to 2,025 winners, totaling 1 billion won. Ten first-place winners will receive 20 million won each, 50 second-place winners will receive 2 million won each, 600 third-place winners will receive 1 million won each, and 1,365 fourth-place winners will receive 100,000 won each.
In particular, first-place winners will be selected from applicants who made card payments outside the metropolitan area. Citizens residing in the metropolitan area are also eligible for the first place if they have made card payments of 50,000 won or more at traditional markets and small businesses in non-metropolitan areas within the event period. Winners from second to fourth place will be selected based on card consumption amounts nationwide, regardless of region, and multiple winnings are not allowed.
The application period for the coexistence consumption lottery is from September 15 to October 12. Applications can be submitted through the Coexistence Payback website. Once applied, entries will automatically be generated for the card payments made at traditional markets and small businesses during the event period.
Winners of the coexistence consumption lottery will be announced at the end of October. The prizes are scheduled to be distributed as digital gift certificates through the Digital Gift Certificate app in November.
