The Korea Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises and Samsung Electronics announced that they will recruit corporations to participate in the '2025 Food Industry Advanced Smart Factory Construction Support Project' from 11th to September 12.
The Food Industry Advanced Smart Factory Construction Support Project is an initiative that supports the establishment of smart factories that exceed the 'advanced' level, which allows for real-time factory and equipment control and process automation. It is supervised by the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises and Startups and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, targeting small and medium-sized corporations engaged in food processing. A total of 15 corporations will be selected, with a maximum support of 200 million won per corporation.
Corporations selected as final support targets can receive assistance not only for smart factory construction projects such as the establishment of manufacturing site operation management systems linked with ICT, like MES, FEMS, and QMS, along with equipment control automation, but also for mentoring from Samsung Electronics' specialized personnel in manufacturing site innovation, training of manufacturing innovation personnel, and market development.
Previously, KBIZ has been supporting smart factory construction projects in collaboration with large corporations and small and medium enterprises as part of spreading a culture of win-win cooperation since 2018. By 2024, it has supported approximately 2 billion won for a total of 3,078 smart factories.
Additionally, KBIZ will recruit more corporations to participate in the 2025 'Samsung Win-Win Smart Factory Construction Support Project' from 11th to 29th. The Samsung Win-Win Smart Factory Support Project is an initiative that supports the establishment of smart factories for small and medium-sized corporations engaged in manufacturing, with a total of 14 corporations eligible at a support maximum of 150 million won per corporation.
