The Korea Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises announced on the afternoon of the 8th at 2 p.m. at KBIZ in Yeouido that it held the initiation ceremony for the 27th term of its university student supporters, 'Happy SMEs.'
The initiation ceremony was attended by Lee Myung-ro, head of the Workforce Policy Division, along with eight members of the 27th supporters.
'Happy SMEs' is a university student supporters group that was launched in 2010. It plays a role in disseminating information related to small and medium enterprises and promoting changes in perception.
The newly activated 27th group will carry out activities until December, including making videos visiting excellent small and medium enterprises and promoting the 'Great Small and Medium Enterprises' platform. They plan to post content related to benefits and information about small and medium enterprises on the 'Happy SMEs blog' each month.
They will also go out into the streets to conduct interviews and surveys related to public perception of small and medium enterprises. Participating in job fairs and engaging in field-centered activities will allow them to experience the realities of youth employment and spend time reflecting on these issues together.
Lee Myung-ro, head of the workforce policy division at KBIZ, noted, 'So far, Happy SMEs has worked to highlight the hidden values and development potential of small and medium enterprises,' adding, 'I hope that the supporters will serve as a bridge connecting small and medium enterprises and youth from a young person's perspective, thereby alleviating the youth job mismatch.'
