SK Rent-a-Car will supply a dedicated control solution for two-wheeled vehicles to Air Rental and Services. This is the first time that a control solution already applied to vehicles will be applied to two-wheeled vehicles.
SK Rent-a-Car announced on the 7th that it will exclusively supply the dedicated control solution "A-Link" to Air Rental, a company specializing in two-wheeled vehicle rentals. A-Link was developed based on SK Rent-a-Car's comprehensive vehicle management solution "Smart Link."
Smart Link, developed by SK Rent-a-Car in 2016, collects and analyzes over 10,000 types of operation data through dedicated devices installed in vehicles, enhancing efficiency in managing vehicle control, car sharing, and operating large corporate fleets.
Air Rental plans to utilize the GPS-based location information, operation records, and anomaly detection features of A-Link supplied by SK Rent-a-Car to improve the quality of rental services and operational efficiency.
Based on precise GPS, it is expected to enable quick responses in case of an accident by accurately confirming vehicle locations, and systematically manage the timing of consumable replacements and maintenance by checking vehicle status data in real-time.
A representative from SK Rent-a-Car noted, "This is an important opportunity to expand the company's vehicle data technology into new areas," adding, "By combining the technical capabilities and operational know-how of both companies, we will set new standards in the two-wheeled vehicle rental market."
