HYBE recorded 705.7 billion won in revenue for the second quarter of this year, marking the highest second-quarter revenue ever. Indirect participation revenues, such as merchandise (MD) and licensing, as well as fan club sales, drove the increase.
HYBE announced on the 6th that its consolidated revenue for the second quarter of this year reached 705.7 billion won, with operating profit at 65.9 billion won. This represents an increase of 10.2% and 29.5% respectively compared to the same period last year. Net profit for the current term was 15.5 billion won, a 53.5% increase from the same period last year.
HYBE's performance grew, centered around indirect participation revenues, including merchandise, licensing, content, and fan club sales. This year, HYBE's indirect participation revenue amounted to 257.8 billion won, with merchandise and licensing growing by 40.2% compared to the same period last year. The fan club sector recorded 34.6 billion won, up 46.2% year-on-year.
Concert revenues also propelled HYBE's performance increase. Direct participation revenues, including albums, digital music, concerts, advertising, and grants, grew by 5.7% year-on-year to 447.9 billion won. Among these, concert revenues exhibited the highest growth rate at 31%. In contrast, digital music and albums decreased by 8.4% compared to last year, showing negative growth.
