Hyundai Motor Company announced on the 3rd that it will launch the 'Nexo Easy Start Program' to reduce the burden of using the hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) 'all-new Nexo.'
The program consists of a 'deferred payment plan for vehicle return' that lowers monthly payments and an 'expense support benefit for hydrogen charging' that covers charging costs for two years.
The deferred payment plan for vehicle return guarantees up to 50% of the vehicle price as the used car value and defers the corresponding payment amount. Customers only need to pay the interest on the deferred amount and the principal and interest on the remaining amount.
However, it is structured to repay the deferred amount upon vehicle return at the term end, and can only be used if there are plans to purchase Hyundai's electric or hydrogen vehicles after the return.
The expense support benefit for hydrogen charging will cover up to 2.4 million won in hydrogen charging expenses over two years.
A Hyundai Motor Company official said, "We are preparing various benefits to alleviate the factors that customers feel burdened by when purchasing the Nexo."
