A crane operator, identified as Mr. A, who was working at the assembly plant 3 of a large shipyard in Geoje, Gyeongnam, was found unconscious around 5 p.m. on the 1st and was taken to the hospital. Another crane operator discovered that he had lost consciousness and reported it, and Mr. A was transported while undergoing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). It has been reported that Mr. A has not regained consciousness as of now.
The Tongyeong Office of the Ministry of Employment and Labor, which received a report of the workplace accident, is on-site to investigate the circumstances of the incident. Mr. A lost consciousness in the crane cabin, which is not equipped with closed-circuit television (CCTV), and the cause of the accident has not yet been determined.
