The Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises and Startups announced on the 31st that it will recruit small and medium-sized enterprises to participate in the second round of overseas certification acquisition support projects starting from August 1, 2025.
The overseas certification acquisition support project is a program that provides partial support for the expenses incurred for certification, testing, consulting, and other related needs that small and medium-sized enterprises face while seeking to enter overseas markets. Support will continue after the certification is obtained.
The certifications that qualify for support include 546 types such as the CE (European Conformity Certification) of the European Union, NRTL (Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory) certification including UL certification in the United States, and NMPA (National Medical Products Administration) approval in China.
This time, about 200 corporations will be selected. Each corporation can apply for up to 4 cases per year; however, if the total application amount is less than 35 million won, they can receive support without limits on the number of applications.
Selected corporations will receive support of 50-70% of the total required expenses based on the previous year's sales, up to a maximum of 100 million won. Corporations with sales under 1 billion won will receive 70%, those with sales between 1 billion and 3 billion won will receive 60%, and those with sales above 3 billion won will receive 50% support.
