The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 30th that it will support store demolition costs of up to 6 million won for small business owners who have closed their businesses.
This store demolition cost support is part of the '2025 Hope Return Package (One-Stop Business Closure Support)' program. The Hope Return Package aims to reduce the burden of closure for small business owners who have closed or are about to close their businesses, providing support from closure to employment and entrepreneurship for a fresh start.
The Hope Return Package One-Stop Business Closure Support (store demolition cost support) is a policy aimed at alleviating the burden of closure on small business owners by providing subsidies for demolition costs and restoration costs. Initially set to support 30,000 businesses, the number has been expanded to 40,000.
In particular, it was also included that the support for store demolition costs will be expanded to a maximum of 6 million won (up from the previous 4 million won) for small business owners who have closed since the 11th.
Director General Hwang Young-ho of the Small Business Management Stabilization Support Group noted, "I hope this expansion of support will further alleviate the expense burden of closure for small business owners and provide an opportunity for them to recover quickly."
