On the 25th, Needer, which operates the short-term work service "Gubgoo," announced that it has secured strategic investment from another Japanese short-term work corporation, Taimi.
Taimi has chosen domestic Needer as its first overseas corporate investment source since its founding. The two corporations plan to work together to expand the short-term work model in Korea and create a new business model.
Needer operates the short-term job matching platform "Gubgoo." It connects job seekers with desired jobs without resumes or interviews and provides services from attendance verification to salary settlement all at once. Currently, it is expanding its real-time short-term workforce matching infrastructure with partners such as Coupang, IKEA Korea, and BGF Retail.
Founded in 2017, Taimi is a rapidly growing company that has contributed to solving the manpower shortage pointed out as a problem in Japanese society. It also succeeded in going public last year.
Shin Hyun-sik, the representative of Needer, noted, "Korea is experiencing two significant changes simultaneously: a decrease in the labor population and an increase in flexible job demand," adding that "this investment and partnership from Taimi will be a first step in sharing both companies' experiences and technologies related to short-term work and innovating the labor market."
