The photo accurately recorded the 30-year journey of imported cars in Korea.
The Korea Automobile Importers & Distributors Association (KAIDA) announced the final award winners of the 30th anniversary photo contest 'My Family, My Car,' which took place from May 26 to June 25.
The 'My Family, My Car' contest was planned to share precious memories of imported car consumers and their families, who have been part of Korea's history, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Korea Automobile Importers & Distributors Association. The theme of the contest was 'photos capturing the daily life of imported cars and families set against the backdrop of Korea,' showcasing moments experienced with imported cars as daily companions.
A total of 167 works were submitted for this photo contest, leading to intense competition.
The submitted works were evaluated based on a total of five criteria: thematic appropriateness, expressiveness, popularity, artistic value, and utility, with the final winners determined through a fair assessment by the judging panel.
The honor of first place went to 'The Love Picnic of Three Generations.' The photo captures a moment where, on her birthday, a mother comments that traveling together is the happiest healing in the world, presenting a bubble event that evokes childhood memories.
In second place were five works selected, including 'Family Trip,' which featured photos from a journey with family elders, 'A Car That Makes You Dream,' which captured the view of stars from a mountain, 'A Happy Journey with Companions,' which conveyed the happiness of post-retirement life enjoying travel and photos with friends, 'You're Just Playing, Dad is Cleaning,' a scene of washing a car in front of a country house with a child, and 'A Wonderful Day,' showcasing a family car sharing happiness.
Winners of the 30th anniversary photo contest will receive a total prize of 5 million won. The first place winner will receive a prize valued at 3 million won, while five second-place winners will each receive a tourism gift certificate worth 200,000 won, and 100 third-place winners will receive a 10,000 won mobile gift certificate.
KAIDA Vice President Jeong Yoon-young noted, "It was meaningful to highlight consumers' precious moments with imported cars through the 30th anniversary photo contest," adding, "We will continue to strengthen our responsibilities and roles to provide even happier memories for consumers in the future."
