Hanwha Ocean successfully concluded its wage negotiations for 2025.
On the 24th, the Hanwha Ocean labor union held a general meeting and voted on a tentative agreement reached through practical negotiations. The vote recorded a 61.7% approval rate, stating that this year's wage negotiations had been finalized.
The agreement includes ▲ an increase in the base salary of 123,262 won (including a seniority increase of 23,262 won) ▲ a one-time payment of 5.2 million won, among other provisions. Additionally, it also includes increases in family allowances based on whether an employee has a spouse or children, as well as on-site allowances based on job levels in production positions.
In terms of the union's demand for new hires, the management committed to making efforts to recruit depending on production needs. Regarding retirement age extension, it was agreed that both sides would discuss it separately when related laws are amended.
A representative from Hanwha Ocean noted, "The labor and management have achieved a conclusion to the wage negotiations based on trust and cooperation before the summer vacation, enabling a stable production environment in the second half of the year," and added, "We have successfully closed the wage gap with the same industry and established a wage system at the same level."
