Home & Shopping announced that it held the '1st Home & Shopping Distinguished Guests Forum in 2025' at its headquarters in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, on the 23rd.
The Distinguished Guests Forum was organized to share key issues and trends in culture and distribution environments, promoting the dissemination of successful AI cases and various insights throughout broadcasting.
On that day, former Minister of Small and Medium Enterprises and Startups Park Young-sun delivered a lecture on the topic 'The Birth of the Universe, the Birth of Life, the Birth of AI.'
Former Minister Park emphasized, 'The birth of AI is the third great turning point humanity has encountered,' stressing that the future competition in distribution and industry will be a battle of 'how much extraordinary intelligence can be embedded in the same product.' She further noted, 'Only corporations that have established the infrastructure for AI integration can survive in the future market and lead the industry,' highlighting the necessity for the home shopping industry's AI infrastructure strategy.
Former Minister Park is currently serving as a senior advisor at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), a visiting professor at Sogang University, and a senior researcher at Harvard University Kennedy School.
About 150 Home & Shopping employees attended the forum, and over 1,500 partner companies watched simultaneously through YouTube live streaming.
Home & Shopping plans to continue expanding knowledge sharing and cooperation for competitive enhancement in the challenging home shopping industry through various forums that integrate culture, distribution, and AI in the future.
