Kim Hee-chul, CEO of Hanwha Ocean, visited the business sites in Geoje, South Gyeongsang Province, on the 23rd to inspect the working environment of workers' rest areas and support activities to prevent heat-related illnesses.
The CEO inspected the workers' rest environment by visiting the rest area around Dock 1 (shipbuilding facility) with executives in charge of manufacturing, production, and safety.
Workers were provided with cooling sleeves, cool masks, and refreshing drinks.
The CEO said, "More important than anything else is your health and safety," and expressed the wish that everyone has a cool and healthy summer while prioritizing safety.
Hanwha Ocean is implementing systematic support measures to prevent heat-related illnesses. It is flexibly increasing morning and afternoon rest periods based on the perceived temperature.
Additionally, it has tripled the temporary rest areas equipped with air conditioning, water purifiers, and saline glucose compared to last year. Nutrient-rich meals and fresh fruit punch, along with beverages, are provided 2 to 3 times a week.
