Renault Group announced on the 21st that it has appointed Nicolas Paris as the new CEO of Renault Korea. His official inauguration is scheduled for September 1.
Paris graduated from the Management School of Reims, France, and joined Renault Group in 2015 after working at global automotive parts company ZF (ZF Lenkysteme). He has since worked in France, India, and China.
In particular, since 2023, he has served as vice president responsible for purchasing for batteries, E-powertrains, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), connectivity, software, and electronic components.
With the appointment of President Paris, who has demonstrated expertise in electrification fields such as battery and E-powertrains as vice president in charge of purchasing, there are expectations that Renault Korea's electrification strategy will gain more momentum.
Renault Korea plans to expand its new car lineup with the Aurora World (project name), scheduled for release in the first half of next year, following the Grand Koleos and Scenic, and aims to build a portfolio that encompasses electric vehicles, hybrids, and internal combustion engines.
Stéphane Deblaise, the current CEO of Renault Korea, who was appointed in March 2022, has been recognized for successfully launching Renault Korea's Aurora World project and has been appointed as the CEO of Renault Group's Indian region.
