Hyundai Motor Group announced on the 21st that it has donated 2 billion won to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association to ensure rapid recovery and support for residents in areas affected by heavy rainfall, such as Sancheong in Gyeongnam and Gapyeong in Gyeonggi.
Along with this, Hyundai Motor Group decided to deploy six washing and sanitation relief vehicles to the affected areas to assist in processing contaminated laundry and to help quickly respond to sanitation needs at disaster sites.
It also plans to offer various services to vehicle-owning customers in the flood-damaged areas. When flood-damaged vehicles are brought in, the repair expense will be discounted by up to 50%, and a free car wash service will be provided upon completion of repairs.
The target customers are those without vehicle insurance, and to receive the discount, they must submit a certificate verifying the damage. The total discount amount is up to 3 million won for passenger cars and up to 5 million won for commercial vehicles from Hyundai, while Kia can receive support within a limit of up to 3 million won for both passenger and commercial vehicles.
A representative of Hyundai Motor Group said, "I express my deep condolences to everyone who has suffered 큰 피해, including losing their homes due to the sudden heavy rainfall," and added, "I hope that our donations, the deployment of relief vehicles, and repair expense discounts can contribute, even in a small way, to restoring daily life."
