The Korea Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises announced on the 17th that it held the '2025 Elder Commission Chair Inauguration and Transition Ceremony.'
The Elder Commission, which launched in May 2019, is an official advisory body of KBIZ, consisting of former and current chairpersons of small and medium-sized enterprise cooperatives. It serves an advisory role for organizational operations and resolving cooperative issues.
The event was organized to encourage Chairman Kwon Hyuk-hong (Chairman of the Hankuk Paper Cooperative), who served as the chair of the 2nd and 3rd Elder Commission, and to celebrate the inauguration of the new chair, Han Young-soo (Chairman of the Korea Synthetic Resin Processing Machinery Cooperative).
New Chairman Han Young-soo said, "Having been with the Elder Commission since its inception in 2019, I have witnessed Chairman Kwon Hyuk-hong's dedication up close. I will responsibly lead the commission so that we can be a model for the small and medium-sized enterprise sector with the help of senior members of the cooperative community."
Kim Gi-mun, Chairman of KBIZ, noted, "Chairman Kwon Hyuk-hong has led the Elder Commission as the most active organization among the special committees of the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises over the past four years. I hope that under the leadership of the new chairman, Han Young-soo, we continue to engage in social responsibility practices that set an example for junior corporations."
