The machine tool manufacturer DN Solutions announced on the 17th that it participated in the 2025 Spring Conference of the Korean Society for Production Engineering, sharing the latest technologies and research achievements in advanced machine tools with the domestic academic community and researchers.
The conference was held on the 16th at the St. John's Hotel in Gangneung, Gangwon Province, and participants included Kyunghee University, Pusan National University, Yonsei University, and the Korea Institute of Machinery & Materials (KIMM). DN Solutions led the development of 'smart machine tools and intelligent solutions based on an open operating system' at the conference.
DN Solutions shared research results obtained from government-supported research projects carried out since 2023. These include technologies that diagnose the condition of equipment before it breaks down for timely maintenance, and technologies that operate different machines and software in a way that fits together like LEGO blocks.
Additionally, DN Solutions and researchers introduced technology that measures various signals, such as temperature and vibration, inside the equipment with sensors and that enables the diagnosis of equipment condition through data analyzed by artificial intelligence (AI).
A DN Solutions official said, 'Korean manufacturing can take a step further only when creative ideas from academia meet the practical experiences of DN Solutions,' and noted, 'We will continue to expand cooperation with academia in the future.'
