Swedish premium electric vehicle brand Polestar has donated a Polestar 4 to the Environmental Foundation, a leading environmental non-profit organization in Korea. This donation embodies the brand's commitment to sustainability.
The vehicle delivery ceremony was held on July 4th at 'Polestar Space Seoul,' located in Hannam-dong, Seoul.
Chairman Choi Yeol of the Environmental Foundation and CFO Lee Kyung-jae of Polestar Korea, along with other key officials from both sides, attended the event to share perceptions on a sustainable future and discuss future collaboration.
This vehicle donation is part of the ongoing collaboration between Polestar and the Environmental Foundation, which includes the 2023 'Earth Hug Campaign' and the '2024 Green Boat.' Polestar hopes this donation will serve as a best practice in the field of environmental protection for sustainable mobility.
CFO Lee Kyung-jae of Polestar Korea said, "I hope the Polestar 4 will become a strong asset for the Environmental Foundation as it travels throughout the nation," adding, "As a 100% electric vehicle brand, Polestar will continue its efforts to protect the environment with greater responsibility."
Chairman Choi Yeol of the Environmental Foundation remarked, "The transition to a carbon-neutral society is a task that can no longer be delayed. This donation will serve as a practical driving force for our cooperation towards a sustainable future, going beyond the mere provision of vehicles," and stated that he will work with Polestar on various environmental campaigns to create meaningful changes for citizens.
The Polestar 4 is the model with the lowest carbon emissions during production among the models manufactured by Polestar. Since 2020, Polestar has been measuring the carbon footprint of its sold vehicles and publicly disclosing the data annually, having reduced the average carbon emissions per vehicle by 24.7% to date.
