BMW Korea (CEO Han Sang-yoon) will begin pre-orders for the advanced flagship all-electric Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) "BMW New iX" through BMW Shop Online starting at 3 p.m. on July 3.
The newly transformed New iX, after undergoing a partial change, is a dedicated model of BMW's electrified brand, BMW i, characterized by an innovative electric powertrain, a futuristic design, a luxurious yet spacious interior, and BMW's unique dynamic driving performance.
The New iX has a newly designed overall impression that is more robust. The vertical BMW kidney grille at the front features a new diagonal pattern with a 'BMW Kidney Glow' function illuminating around the border, along with vertical daytime running lights that exude a more intense presence.
In addition, the New iX has newly introduced the M Sport Package and M Sport Package Pro trim, enhancing its sporty feel. Boldly expanded front air intakes and a rear diffuser standout on the front and rear bumpers, and depending on the trim, blue or red calipers are equipped with M Sport brakes. Furthermore, the high-performance model, New iX M70 xDrive, features a M-specific kidney grille with an M logo and horizontal bars, black side mirror caps, and 23-inch wheels for differentiation.
The New iX will launch with three powertrains applying the latest electrification system, greatly enhancing overall output. The base model, New iX xDrive45, boasts a maximum output of 408 horsepower, an increase of 82 horsepower from its predecessor, and a maximum torque of 71.4 kg·m, enhanced from 7.2 kg·m. The New iX xDrive60 delivers a maximum output of 544 horsepower and a maximum torque of 78.0 kg·m. The high-performance model, New iX M70 xDrive, demonstrates overwhelming performance with a maximum output of 659 horsepower in sport mode, and when launch control is activated, a maximum torque of 112.2 kg·m, accelerating from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds.
With the introduction of new battery cell technology, the battery capacity of the New iX xDrive45 has increased by about 30% compared to its transfer model, and by adding innovative inverter technology and optimized components, the driving range has increased by approximately 40% based on WLTP standards.
The New iX is expected to be officially launched domestically in the third quarter of this year, with prices set for the New iX xDrive45 ranging between 125 million won and 130 million won, the New iX xDrive60 between 150 million won and 155 million won, and the New iX M70 xDrive between 175 million won and 180 million won.
