On the 1st, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced that it will hold a contest for the name and catchphrase (slogan) of the 'Global Startup Hub' being established in Mapo-gu, Seoul.
The Global Startup Hub, set to open in early 2026, is a large-scale startup space specialized in deep tech and global startups. It has been created as a space for over 200 domestic startups to interact with overseas startups, global corporations, and foreign investors (VC).
The contest announced this time concerns the name and catchphrase of the Global Startup Hub. The contest will run for a month from July 7 to August 7, and anyone can participate regardless of nationality. The name and catchphrase must be submitted in English, and the representatives will be selected based on criteria such as creativity and symbolism.
The contest for the name and catchphrase of the Global Startup Hub will be conducted through an online survey platform (Moaform), and participants can join via the QR code on the contest poster or the K-Startup website.
