On the 26th, the Small Enterprise & Market Service (SEMAS) announced that it has signed a cooperative agreement with four delivery companies at Dream Square in Mapo-gu, Seoul, for the purpose of supporting delivery and courier fees for small business owners.
This agreement is a measure to quickly provide delivery and courier fee subsidies to small business owners. CJ Logistics, Hanjin, LOTTE Global Logistics, and Logen participated.
SEMAS is promoting the "Small Business Delivery and Courier Fee Support Project" with a budget of 2.037 trillion won this year, providing up to 300,000 won in delivery and courier fees to small businesses with annual sales of less than 30 million won. Following a memorandum of understanding with O2O platform companies and delivery agents in February, this agreement will collaborate with a total of 12 companies.
This project will proceed by receiving information on small business owners using delivery services from delivery companies, verifying the beneficiaries, and then distributing the subsidies.
Delivery companies will provide information on small business owners using their services, and SEMAS plans to support up to 300,000 won without requiring separate documentation, after confirming whether the applicants meet the qualification criteria based on their revenue and business shutdown status.
Applications for the project can be confirmed through the official websites of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups or the Small Enterprise & Market Service (SEMAS), as well as through Small Business 24.
Chairman Park Seong-hyo of SEMAS said, "Small business owners utilizing the partnered delivery companies can conveniently apply without submitting separate documentation, and the agency has established a system to quickly provide subsidies."
