On the 25th, the 75th anniversary of the outbreak of the Korean War, Hyundai Rotem visited the National Cemetery of Korea to pay respects to the fallen patriots and the spirits of the nation.
The ceremony, held in the afternoon at the National Cemetery of Korea in Dongjak-gu, Seoul, was attended by over 50 employees, including CEO Lee Yong-bae, Defense Solutions Division Head Lee Jeong-yeop, Management Support Division Head Kim Ik-soo, and Rail Solutions Division Head Kim Jeong-hoon.
Hyundai Rotem stated that they conducted this visit to honor the sacrifice of the fallen patriots who died in the Korean War.
At the event, CEO Lee instructed the Defense Solutions Division to enhance the quality of ground weaponry and the competitiveness of unmanned technology. He noted, "We will strengthen national defense by delivering products of the highest quality, such as K2 tanks and wheeled armored vehicles, and contribute to elevating our country to one of the top four nations in the defense industry," and added, "We will also enhance the technological capabilities of unmanned systems products led by the multipurpose unmanned vehicle HR-Sherpa."
Hyundai Rotem is engaged in social contribution activities in honor of the Month of Patriotism and Veterans by delivering 'Hope Boxes' containing daily necessities to veterans at the Army 55th Division and 12th Division, as well as the 2nd Engineer Brigade in collaboration with the non-profit organization 'People Sharing Hope.'
Since 2017, they have also provided electric wheelchairs to 160 veterans and national merit recipients. In addition, Hyundai Rotem employees participated in the '80th anniversary of liberation employee volunteer program' of Hyundai Motor Group on the 23rd, engaging in cleanup volunteer work at the cemetery.
