Hyundai GLOVIS announced on the 20th that it conducted a social contribution activity to raise safety awareness among children.
Hyundai GLOVIS employees invited about 350 children who applied in advance from the 14th to the 15th and conducted programs including disaster safety education, a mini sports day, and an amusement park tour around the Seoul Grand Park in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi Province.
Hyundai GLOVIS installed and operated a 'logistics moving safety experience zone' for the attending children to have an interesting and hands-on experience with safety.
In the experience zone, disaster safety education tailored to children's perspective was provided, covering safe walking methods when large trucks approach, evacuation experiences during vehicle fires, and maritime safety experiences. The hands-on safety education attracted participation not only from the children but also from general visitors to the Seoul Grand Park.
For reference, Hyundai GLOVIS has been conducting 'logistics moving safety experience education' annually for children starting from 2023.
In addition to the safety education, employees and children formed teams to hold a sports day, where they engaged in activities such as 'cooperative ball bounding' and 'shoe archery,' and enjoyed various amusement rides at the Seoul Land.
A Hyundai GLOVIS official noted, 'We plan to continue implementing social contribution programs for the safety of vulnerable road users, including children, and logistics industry workers.'
