BYD Korea will showcase the BYD Seal (BYD SEAL), scheduled to launch in the second half of this year, at 15 official BYD Auto showrooms nationwide starting from the 16th.
The BYD Seal is a performance midsize electric sedan that presents new values of the BYD brand, equipped with sporty design, powerful driving performance, and intelligent high-tech DNA. The BYD Seal, featuring a smooth and sturdy coupe design, also incorporates a sporty yet luxurious atmosphere in its interior. Notably, it is the first in the BYD electric vehicle lineup to apply Cell-to-Body (CTB) technology, significantly enhancing safety.
The vehicle being displayed this time is the BYD Seal AWD model equipped with dual motors. The iTAC (Intelligent Torque Adaptive Control) system is applied to maximize driving performance, allowing it to reach 100 km/h from a standstill in just 3.8 seconds.
Joincheol Jo, head of the passenger car division at BYD Korea, noted, "There has been considerable interest from customers regarding the BYD Seal since the brand launch." He added, "Although there are processes remaining, such as environmental-friendly vehicle certification and subsidies calculation, we decided to showcase it nationwide as a preview to allow customers to meet the BYD Seal earlier and resolve their inquiries."
BYD Korea announced that at the 2025 Seoul Mobility Show held in April, they revealed the BYD Seal, which will be configured into two trims, RWD (rear-wheel drive) and AWD (all-wheel drive), based on motor type and driving method. The sale price is expected to range from 47.5 million won to 52.5 million won (post-environment-friendly vehicle tax benefits, excluding subsidies). The launch date and final price of the BYD Seal will be announced later.
