Young Poong announced on the 13th that it opened the Seokpo Community Sports Center in Seokpo-myeon, Bonghwa-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do on the 12th.
The Seokpo Community Sports Center is a public-private partnership sports facility created with a total budget of 5 billion won (4 billion won from county funds and 1 billion won from provincial funds), with land provided by the Seokpo Smelter. It was built on a site of 4,500 square meters with a total floor area of 994.56 square meters. The indoor gymnasium is designed to accommodate various indoor sports such as basketball, volleyball, and badminton.
On the same day, the Seokpo Smelter also opened an artificial turf soccer field created with its own budget of about 2 billion won. The soccer field has a total area of 13,000 square meters and features one official-sized field and two parking lots.
Kim Gi-ho, president of Young Poong Seokpo Smelter, noted, "We will continue to engage in ongoing social contribution activities as a corporation that coexists with the local community."
