Kim Ki-moon, chairman of the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises, will meet with business leaders and President Lee Jae-myung on the morning of the 13th.
The Korea Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises is one of the six major economic organizations, including the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Federation of Korean Industries, the Korea International Trade Association, the Korea Enterprises Federation, and the Korea Federation of Medium Enterprises.
Chairman Kim will attend the meeting representing small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners.
Chairman Kim is expected to request economic policies for the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners in an unstable domestic and international business environment, characterized by domestic recession and tariffs resulting from Trump administration policies.
Recently, Chairman Kim has noted through surveys and comments titled 'What small and medium-sized enterprises want from the president' that he hopes the new government will achieve domestic revitalization and stabilization of people's livelihoods by expanding support for small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners and creating a fair transaction environment.
Chairman Kim also emphasized the necessity for a 'major transition to an economy centered on small and medium-sized enterprises' through the creation of sustainable jobs, the revival of manufacturing, and the alleviation of polarization.
