Hyundai Motor launched the '2025 Porter II Electric Special Vehicle' on the 12th.
The Porter II Electric Special Vehicle is a special model based on the 2025 Porter II Electric, which was launched in March. It features improvements in product competitiveness through the addition of an electric wing body (a form that allows the sides of the cargo area to open like wings) model.
Hyundai Motor improved the rapid charging speed of the Porter II Electric Special Vehicle, reducing the fast charging time from 47 minutes to 32 minutes for a battery capacity of 10% to 80%. The energy density of the battery cells installed in the vehicle has also been increased.
To alleviate the inconvenience caused by the low ground clearance when driving on unpaved roads, the battery ground clearance has been raised by 10㎜. An LED light has been added to the top of the charging port to improve visibility during night charging.
The newly added electric wing body model has an increased cargo bed length of 250㎜ compared to the manual wing body model, allowing for more cargo. According to Hyundai Motor, the wing body that can be operated with a wireless remote control and the recessed rear twin door facilitate convenient loading.
Hyundai Motor will also operate the 'EV Biz Care,' a dedicated customer care program for the Porter II Electric, in the same way for the Porter II Electric Special Vehicle. Customers who purchase the Porter II Electric Special Vehicle can choose one of the following through EV Biz Care: ▲ 500,000 credits ▲ 7-kilowatt (kW) home charger ▲ 200,000 credits + charging cable.
The prices for the 2025 Porter II Electric Special Vehicle are as follows: ▲ low-floor panel truck at 48.78 million won, standard at 50 million won, high at 50.88 million won ▲ wing body manual at 50.78 million won, electric at 54.99 million won ▲ power gate at 49.22 million won. (Note: the special model operates a single trim of the super long wheelbase smart special.)
