Doosan Foundation announced on the 10th that it will conduct the '18th Science Teacher Academic Tour' from the 9th to the 16th, offering opportunities for elementary, middle, and high school science and mathematics teachers to explore scientific industries and educational sites in Korea and Japan.

The 26 winners of the 2023 'Science Teacher of the Year' award hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the 6 winners of the 2024 'Korea Mathematics Education Award' hosted by the Ministry of Education will participate. The participants will visit industrial sites in Changwon, Gyeongnam, and science museums, corporations, and high schools in Osaka, Nagoya, and Tokyo, Japan, over 7 nights and 8 days to explore the fields of science, technology, and education.

Doosan Foundation has been conducting academic tours for science teachers targeting the winners of the 'Science Teacher of the Year' award since 2007. Starting this year, the participants have been expanded to include the winners of the 'Korea Mathematics Education Award'. According to the foundation, a total of 637 teachers have participated in the tours over the 18 sessions.
