Global resource recycling corporation DS Dansuk announced on the 5th that it conducted the '2nd The Healthy Carbon Diet Campaign' in celebration of 'World Environment Day.' This campaign was planned last year for DS Dansuk to fulfill its biodiversity and environmental and social responsibilities and to practice community contribution through environmental purification activities.
About 10 DS Dansuk employees voluntarily participated in the environmental cleanup activities around the Siheung Industrial Complex and Okgu Stream, receiving plogging kits (bags, tongs, biodegradable plastic bags, etc.). This event also has significance in joining the global practical campaign commemorating 'World Environment Day,' hosted by the Ministry of Environment.
A participant from DS Dansuk in the plogging event stated, "Through the plogging campaign that began last year, I learned about corporate environmental and social responsibilities," and added, "It was a challenging activity in the hot weather, but I felt rewarded seeing the clean streets."
Meanwhile, this year's World Environment Day event was co-hosted by the Ministry of Environment and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and was held in Jeju from June 4th to 5th.
