On the 4th, Jeju Air announced that it will expand its pet transportation service targeting the needs of pet families.
As of the 1st, the weight limit for pets allowed in the cabin has increased from the previous 7 kg (including the transport container) to 9 kg. The pet transportation service fee for domestic flights has changed from 20,000 won to 25,000 won, while for international flights, it remains unchanged at between 70,000 won and 100,000 won depending on the route. Pets that can board include dogs, cats, and birds over 8 weeks old and apply to all routes of Jeju Air.
An annual membership product called "Pet Membership" will also be launched for passengers traveling with pets. Membership levels are categorized into standard (98,000 won per year) and premium (240,000 won per year). To celebrate the launch, a 10% discount sale will be offered until June 17.
Jeju Air introduced the pet pass service in June 2023. Since its launch, approximately 7,600 people used it in 2023, and more than 12,000 last year. As of April this year, about 4,800 people have utilized it.
