On the 26th, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced that it held a talent matching festival for small and venture businesses and Indian software developers in Noida, northern India, and Pune, central India, on the 28th.

This festival was held as part of a program to connect outstanding Indian software developers with small and venture businesses, which are struggling to hire specialized software personnel. More than 100 small and venture businesses and approximately 1,600 Indian software (SW) professionals, including those online, participated in the event.

The Indian software developer recruitment linkage project was introduced for the first time in 2024, connecting 206 software developers with 41 small and venture businesses, and is aiming to connect over 200 recruitments in 2025.

To support the smooth matching of small and venture businesses with Indian SW developers, a desk has been established locally in India to secure a pool of Indian SW developers, provide local SW personnel consultations, and manage attendance for matched personnel.

The local desk in India opened in 2024 in Noida and Bengaluru, and this time it has newly opened in the Pune area on the 29th. Additionally, there are plans to add one more location in the eastern region in the second half of this year.

Kim Bong-deok, director of the venture policy division at the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, said, "I hope this matching festival will greatly help small and venture businesses alleviate their difficulties in recruiting SW personnel," and noted, "We will continue to expand the local network and talent pool to broaden the options for small and venture businesses in selecting SW developers."
