The Korea SMEs and Startups Agency announced on June 1 that it will operate the regular application for policy funds on June 2 and 4. This adjustment was made due to the designation of June 3 as the date for the 21st presidential election.
KOSME operates a regular application period during the first week of each month until the budget for small and medium enterprises' policy funds is exhausted, and it provides prior notice on its website if there is an adjustment to the application schedule. The status of available policy funds can be checked on the KOSME website.
This application period includes 500 billion won in policy funds secured through the first supplementary budget last month. Major funds available for application include ▲ 100 billion won for emergency funds to respond to trade risks ▲ 300 billion won for emergency management stabilization funds ▲ 100 billion won for new market entry support funds.
In particular, the newly established emergency funds for responding to trade risks will prioritize support for small and medium enterprises facing management difficulties among those handling products subject to tariffs in the United States or with a high export ratio to the U.S., without the need for policy priority evaluation regardless of their years in business.
Applications for policy funds can be made online on the KOSME website over the two days of June 2 and June 4. For more detailed information, inquiries can be made to one of the 34 KOSME regional headquarters or the policy funds information call center.
