Hyundai Steel announced on the 27th that it held a Customer Day event inviting major European customers to the World Rally Championship (WRC) Portugal Rally, a global automobile racing competition.
Through the event, Hyundai Steel held a meeting to introduce automobile steel plate production technology, a U.S. electric furnace steel mill project, the status of establishing an electric furnace-blast furnace hybrid process, and performance evaluation results of carbon reduction products.
It also noted plans to strengthen collaboration with global customers by establishing a system capable of agilely responding to rapidly changing regulations across countries and providing customer-tailored technological solutions.
After the meeting, customers visited the WRC service park and saw competition vehicles with the Hyundai Steel logo, confirming that Hyundai Steel materials were used in key components.
A representative from a customer who attended the event said, "It was a very beneficial time to hear and verify Hyundai Steel's technological capabilities related to automobile steel plates and carbon reduction products," and "We plan to further develop our collaborative relationship with Hyundai Steel."
