KD Navien announced on the 26th that it has ranked first in the gas boiler sector of the National Brand Competitiveness Index (NBCI), hosted by the Korea Productivity Center, for six consecutive years.
The NBCI is an index that converts the weighted sum of awareness, loyalty, and image formed through corporate marketing activities into a score out of 100, calculating brand competitiveness. KD Navien developed the first condensing boiler in Asia in 1988 and launched a condensing boiler with enhanced hot water functionality in 2022.
KD Navien received high praise for its various methods of communication with consumers. To allow product experiences, it opened offline experience stores called "Navien House" in 2023, starting in Jeju Island, followed by Uijeongbu and Namyangju in Gyeonggi Province, and Jinju in Gyeongsangnam-do the following year. A virtual reality experience space called "VR Navien House" was also established on the official website "Navien House," where not only boilers but also smart home products and door locks can be experienced.
A pop-up store was opened in collaboration with a clothing brand. T-shirts with witty phrases highlighting the importance of "hot water" were released, and backpacks and suitcases modeled after KD Navien boiler bodies were showcased. A campaign was also conducted where participants exchanged plastic waste they collected in Cheonggye Plaza, Kyunghee University, and the Hanam Misayeongjeong Park area for wooden keychains and shopping bags shaped like boilers.
In September of last year, a business-academic cooperation agreement was signed with the Department of Metal Craft at Kookmin University, and a contest was held for undergraduates and graduate students to transform discarded boilers into new works. All entries were exhibited in a gallery located in Insadong in January of this year, and the exhibition will also be held in the Seoul Upcycling Plaza located in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, until the end of July.
