Boram Group noted on the 21st that it won the 'ESG Social Contribution Award' at the 19th National ESG Excellent Corporations Awards for three consecutive years.
The National ESG Excellent Corporations Awards is co-hosted by the Korea Journalist Association and Korea University ESG Research Institute, with sponsorship from 10 government ministries including the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Environment, and the Ministry of Health and Welfare. Awards are given to corporations that receive the highest scores by industry through quantitative and qualitative assessments based on a self-evaluation model. This year's award-winners include major corporations such as Boram Group, KB Kookmin Bank, Epson, and the National Health Insurance Service.
Boram Group has received high praise for incorporating ESG into its core business based on the principles of 'love, dedication, and service' over the past 30 years since its founding.
Since launching the 'Boram Social Service Team' in 2012, Boram Group has continued its social contribution activities both domestically and internationally. Examples include medical service in the Sulaymaniyah region of Iraq, financial support for kidney disease patients, and sponsorship for events on Disability Day, which highlight Boram Group's ongoing social contributions in the healthcare and welfare sectors.
In the environmental sector, it is carrying out practical and lifestyle-friendly initiatives through recycling PC donations and street plogging. Additionally, the professional table tennis team 'Boram Hallelujah' is consistently pursuing long-term projects to create a healthy society through youth talent donations, support for community sports, and the expansion of blood donation campaigns. Moreover, various activities, including donations to underprivileged community members and scholarship contributions, are also being conducted.
A Boram Group official said, 'ESG must not be merely a showy activity but must be backed by sustainability,' adding, 'We will continue to establish ourselves as a total life care corporation that creates social value through sustainable management.'
