The autonomous driving startup Autonomous A2Z noted on the 21st that Yoo Min-sang, Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), has been selected as a '2025 KF Global Fellow' under the Korea Foundation (KF) affiliated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The KF Global Fellow program provides opportunities for interaction with global experts for South Korean youths aged 25 to under 40. This year, 10 global leaders responsible for research and policy in fields such as artificial intelligence, climate change, life sciences, and semiconductors have been selected for the second cohort of KF Global Fellows.
Yoo, the CSO participating in the second cohort of KF Global Fellows, is scheduled to visit the Mohamed Bin Rashid Space Centre in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, and the Vietnam National University of Science and Technology. The plan is to establish cooperative relationships with experts from around the world.
Yoo, the CSO, said, "I will strive to expand South Korea's autonomous driving technology and ecosystem to help secure national competitiveness." Yoo, who graduated from the doctoral program at Sungkyunkwan University School of Engineering and has served as a lead researcher in Hyundai Motor Company's research and development planning and coordination division, is currently overseeing global policy strategy at Autonomous A2Z.
Autonomous A2Z is an autonomous driving corporation that has 55 autonomous vehicles and has recorded a cumulative driving distance of 620,000 km. In the autonomous driving technology ranking published last year by the global market research firm Guidehouse, it was the only South Korean corporation to be ranked 11th.
