On the 18th, the small and medium-sized enterprise sector expressed its welcome for the government's supplementary budget of 12.2 trillion won.
The Korea Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises noted in a statement that, "Small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners are facing many difficulties due to high tariffs, high exchange rates, and sluggish domestic demand amid recent rapid changes in trade environments," and welcomed the government's supplementary budget proposal.
KBIZ emphasized, "Since this supplementary budget includes the expansion of funding support for export small and medium-sized enterprises, a credit relief plan for small business owners, and a coexistence payback budget, we expect it to serve as a catalyst for overcoming the trade crisis and restoring livelihoods."
KBIZ also said, "We hope that the National Assembly and the government will work together for the swift passage of the supplementary budget, and that the small and medium-sized enterprise sector will take the lead in expanding investment and employment as a key economic entity."
