Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) announced on the 17th that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Air Force's Air Defense Commander and his delegation visited the headquarters to inspect the major aircraft production facilities, including the KF-21 and FA-50. KAI plans to expand exports to the Middle East and Africa markets through cooperation with the UAE Air Force.
Al-Sahran Al-Nuaimi, the UAE Air Force (Airforce Warfare Center) Air Defense Commander, directly boarded the next-generation fighter KF-21 to check its flight performance and the latest avionics capabilities.
The UAE Air Force previously expressed interest in the KF-21 in 2023 for the introduction of a next-generation fighter. KANG Gu-young, President of KAI, met with the UAE Air Force Air Defense Commander at the IDEX exhibition held in the UAE last February.
President KANG said, "The visit of the UAE Air Force will serve as a stepping stone for the expansion of future defense cooperation."
