The Small Enterprises and Market Service (SEMS) announced on the 16th that Ahn Tae-yong, former head of the Jeollabuk-do Small and Medium Venture Business Administration, has taken office as the new vice president.
Vice President Ahn is a practical policy expert who has been responsible for supporting small and medium enterprises and small business owners for about 30 years.
Having started public service as a 7th grade public servant in 1994, Vice President Ahn has held key positions in the Public Procurement Division, Overseas Market Division, and International Trade Cooperation Division at the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, serving as head of the Jeollabuk-do Small and Medium Venture Business Administration from January 2023 to March this year.
Vice President Ahn will receive his official appointment at the service and begin his duties on the same day.
Vice President Ahn noted, "I will do my best to cooperate with government departments to support the role of the institution that assists small business owners and traditional markets."
