Doosan Group Chairman Park Jung-won visited Europe and said, "We must lead the market with Doosan Bobcat's technological innovation."
According to Doosan Group, Chairman Park noted during his visit to the Bauma 2025 construction machinery fair held in Munich, Germany, from 7th to 13th, that "the European market is the second home market that will support the sustainable growth of Doosan Bobcat".
Chairman Park, along with Scott Park, Vice Chairman of Doosan Bobcat, and other key executives, inspected the site of Bauma 2025, including the Doosan Bobcat booth, and checked the technological trends of competitors directly.
Chairman Park showed particular interest in the electrification and unmanned and remote equipment, as well as advanced technology based on artificial intelligence (AI), which are the main themes of this year's exhibition. He said, "I confirmed what level of preparation top global construction machinery companies have made in line with the trend of unmanning and electrification."
He added, "We need to check our technology compared to them and accelerate to get ahead," stating, "Let’s continue innovation in technology, from the innovative DNA that launched the world's first products such as skid loaders and fully automated construction equipment to AI."
Doosan Bobcat recorded an average annual revenue growth rate of 8% in the European market over the past four years and generated 15-20% of its total revenue in Europe last year. To seek to expand its market share, Doosan Bobcat launched four new products in the compact excavator institutional sector at this Bauma.
Now in its 34th year, Bauma is a global construction machinery exhibition held every three years. It is called one of the world's three major construction machinery exhibitions along with the CONEXPO in the U.S. and INTERMAT in France. This year, approximately 3,500 corporations from 57 countries participated in Bauma, and the number of visitors to the exhibition hall is estimated to be around 600,000.
