The Korea Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises and Agriculture announced on the 10th that Byeon Tae-seop, former Deputy Minister for Planning and Coordination of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, will assume the role of the 7th Secretary General.
Secretary General Byeon graduated from Korea University with a degree in public administration and obtained a master's degree in public administration from Washington State University in the United States. He passed the 38th administrative examination and has held positions such as the Director of the Policy Coordination Division of the Small and Medium Business Administration, the Director of the General Affairs Division, the Director of the Small Business Policy Office of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and the Deputy Minister for Planning and Coordination. The term for Secretary General is three years.
In his inauguration speech, Secretary General Byeon said, "It is necessary to redefine the foundation's role to enhance sustainability as a dedicated agency for win-win cooperation amid the rapidly changing domestic and international economic environment," adding, "I will prepare and promote innovation plans for the foundation after going through a process of gathering various opinions from inside and outside."
The Korea Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises and Agriculture is a dedicated agency for win-win cooperation that supports the enhancement of competitiveness between large and small enterprises, addresses polarization, and facilitates various cooperation projects with private enterprises and rural areas and agricultural workers.
