The offering price for the first issuance is 13.6% lower than the planned offering price of 169,200 won, which was resolved by the board of directors on the 14th of last month. The stock price has been weak recently due to the impact of the tariff imposed by the U.S. Donald Trump administration, leading to a downward adjustment of the offering price. The total aggregates also decreased by 271.8 billion won from the initial 2 trillion won.

The final confirmed price will be decided on the 16th of next month, which is three trading days before the subscription date for existing shareholders. Subscription for existing shareholders and general public offering will start on the 21st, and the new shares will be listed on June 13.

Samsung SDI noted that it plans to use the funds raised from this capital increase for investment in a joint venture with General Motors (GM) and for facility investment in domestic all-solid-state battery lines.
