BMW Korea officially launched the premium all-electric Gran Coupe 'i4 eDrive40' on the 7th.
The BMW i4 is the first mid-size all-electric Gran Coupe from a premium brand, characterized by BMW's unique dynamic driving performance, the design of a four-door coupe, and spatial utilization that supports long-distance journeys.
The new i4 is a facelift model that introduces new design elements in both the interior and exterior, enhancing its sporty appeal and luxurious feel while improving user convenience, according to BMW Korea.
The front features adaptive LED headlights with new vertical daytime running lights and a diamond-pattern BMW kidney grill. The rear is equipped with three-dimensional laser rear lights.
Driving performance and efficiency have also been improved. The vehicle is equipped with a single electric motor that delivers a maximum output of 340 horsepower and a peak torque of 43.8 kg·m. The time taken to accelerate from a complete stop to 100 km/h (0 to 100) is 5.6 seconds.
The energy consumption is rated at 4.5 kWh/km in combined standards, with a driving range of 420 km on a single charge. The capacity of the high-voltage battery is 84 kWh, and it takes about 30 minutes to charge from 10% to 80% using fast charging.
The brand's top-level advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), 'Driving Assistant Professional,' comes standard. It includes features such as 'Stop and Go' for automatically shutting off the engine when stopped, and front and rear approach and collision warnings that detect pedestrians and cyclists.
The parking assistance system, Parking Assistant, is standard on the new i4 M Sport, while the higher trim M Sport Pro includes the Plus option. The standard package includes parking assistance and reversing assistance, while the Plus package adds surround view and 3D view capabilities to check the area around the vehicle.
In South Korea, it will be available in two trims: ▲i4 eDrive40 M Sport and ▲i4 eDrive40 M Sport Pro, with prices for each trim set at 78.3 million won and 84.5 million won, respectively (including value-added tax, with a 3.5% individual consumption tax applied).
