'2025 Seoul Mobility Show' opened on the 4th under the theme 'Leaping as a Future Mobility Platform.'
This year's '2025 Seoul Mobility Show,' held at KINTEX Exhibition Hall 1 in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, will run until April 13 and features participation from over 450 companies from 12 countries, showcasing mobility platforms across land, sea, and air.
The opening ceremony held on the 4th a.m. featured Kang Nam-hoon, chair of the Seoul Mobility Show organizing committee, along with Lee Seung-ryeol, director of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and Yoon Hoo-duk, representative of the National Assembly Mobility Forum (Democratic Party member), who reflected on the significance of the 30th anniversary of the Seoul Mobility Show.
Hosted by the Seoul Mobility Show Organizing Committee (Korea Automobile Mobility Industry Association, Korea Automobile Industry Cooperative) and sponsored by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the Ministry of Environment, and Goyang City, a total of 451 corporations and institutions are participating in this exhibition. Headline partners include HD Hyundai, BYD, and LOTTE.
The 2025 Seoul Mobility Show will be held under the theme 'Mobility, Everywhere.' This theme emphasizes that mobility technology is implemented not only on land but also in various spaces such as sea and air, permeating every moment of daily life. Additionally, the subtitle 'Beyond Boundaries' reflects the convergence of technology across the mobility industry and the expansion of ecosystems, going beyond the conventional exhibition concept limited to automobiles, incorporating autonomous driving, artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, and urban air mobility (UAM).
This exhibition will consist of three main areas: mobility, mobility innovation, and mobility services, showcasing the present and future of the mobility industry, where technology, products, and services are organically linked.
▲Mobility, Everywhere
'Under the theme 'Mobility, Everywhere,' various mobility technologies across land mobility, marine mobility, and air mobility will be presented. In the Land Mobility sector, a total of 19 companies, including 12 domestic and international vehicle manufacturers and construction equipment brands, will participate. Marine Mobility will feature 1 company, while Air Mobility will showcase 8 companies presenting their technological prowess.
A total of 21 vehicle types, including 5 world premieres, 2 Asian premieres, and 14 Korean premieres, will be unveiled for the first time. Several concept cars will also be displayed, presenting visions for future designs.
▲Mobility Innovation: A venue for technological convergence and innovation
The Mobility Innovation sector will have a total of 50 corporations participating, specifically in areas such as Auto Parts, Autonomous Driving, Robotics, and AI. Through each sector, innovative technologies across the mobility industry will be showcased, including core components for electric vehicles, autonomous driving systems, robotic platforms, and AI-based technologies, as well as examples of convergence between these technologies.
▲Mobility services: Changes centered on connectivity and users
A total of 108 corporations will participate in the mobility services section, organized into Mobility Solutions, Mobility Life, and Tuning/Camping.
Each sector presents user-centered convenient and enjoyable mobility experiences, composed of platform services that enhance transportation convenience, mobility products linked to lifestyles, displays related to camping and tuning, and participation from various partner corporations.
▲Autonomous Driving Theme Pavilion: Sharing technologies and achievements in autonomous driving
The Autonomous Driving Theme Pavilion will host an achievement-sharing event organized by the Autonomous Driving Technology Development Innovation Group (KADIF). This event, which shares research and development results jointly conducted by four ministries, including the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of Science and ICT, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and the Korean National Police Agency, will feature Level 4+ autonomous driving core components, software, and infrastructure developed by 265 domestic research corporations and institutions, along with experience zones for visitors.

The 'Future Mobility Awards' will be integrated with the existing Seoul Mobility Awards and the K-AI Awards hosted by the Korean Generation AI Foundation (KGAF) to discover and showcase outstanding corporations and technologies in the mobility sector. The award ceremony will take place on April 10 at 11 a.m., at a special stage (C61) within KINTEX Exhibition Hall 1.
Experience programs that visitors can enjoy have also been enhanced. Outside the exhibition hall, a ride program allows participants to directly experience new cars and autonomous vehicles from Hyundai, BYD, and LOTTE. Indoor events include various cultural and experiential contents, such as motorsports and automobile-related hobbies in the X-ROAD theme pavilion (April 8-13), a design festival (April 4-13), the Seoul Mobility Fashion Week (April 4-6, April 12-13), and a 30th anniversary online exhibition.
In his opening remarks, organizing committee chair Kang Nam-hoon noted, 'This 2025 Seoul Mobility Show presents the most diverse range of products and services in mobility in the 30-year history of the exhibition,' adding that the total exhibition size is the largest ever in terms of the number of participating companies, with 451 companies from 12 countries, and emphasized, 'We aim to showcase a future mobility vision that transcends spatial limitations and breaks down technological boundaries through innovation.'
At this year's Seoul Mobility Show, Chinese BYD and British Lotus are making their entrance into the Korean market and have set up exhibition spaces for the first time. BYD recently launched the Ato3 in the Korean market and showcased the mid-size sedan Seal at this event.
For the first time, a ship will participate in the Seoul Mobility Show, attracting attention. Domestic eco-friendly ship manufacturer Vincent will unveil the leisure electric boat 'E-POC 2,' capable of operating for three hours. SAMBO MOTORS will showcase a vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) urban air mobility (UAM) vehicle that can fly up to about 100 km, employing a hybrid power method using a battery during vertical takeoff and landing and a hydrogen fuel cell during cruising.
HD Hyundai, which is participating this year as a headline partner and has a representative company in Korea's construction machinery sector, is set to unveil its next-generation excavator model globally for the first time. This model is a flagship equipment designed to compete with top-tier global construction machinery brands.
A total of 42 parts corporations, including Hyundai Mobis, SEOYON, and BorgWarner, will set up booths. Hyundai Mobis will showcase a holographic windshield transparent display that provides drivers with visual information by expanding various driving data through a special optical film on vehicle front windshields, while global parts company BorgWarner will exhibit integrated generator and inverter technology for EREV vehicles.
LOTTE Innovate will unveil the country's first unmanned autonomous shuttle, which has been permitted for a speed of 40 km/h and will offer ride experiences to visitors outdoors. Additionally, it will introduce mobility-related businesses and technologies, including batteries, charging infrastructure, and delivery robots.
Robros, a humanoid robot developer, will showcase service robots capable of performing precise tasks in complex environments such as hotels and restaurants, while SAMBO MOTORS will present autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) under the robotics category.
