In particular, Jörg Kerner, the Executive President in charge of the Macan product at Porsche AG, attended this mobility show to personally introduce the brand's first electric SUV, the 'Macan Electric,' and led the press conference, drawing interest.
Porsche Korea announced various investment plans to strengthen its unique brand value through 'value over volume' and to provide differentiated customer experiences that align with the era of electrification and digitalization.
Particularly, based on a balanced product strategy that encompasses efficient internal combustion engines, high-performance hybrids, and innovative pure electric vehicles, Porsche Korea plans to broaden its selection through an attractive portfolio that meets diverse customer demands.
Starting with the launch of new sports flagship models such as the Taycan Turbo GT, Taycan Turbo GT Bytech package, and Panamera GTS, Porsche will unveil the brand's first pure electric SUV Macan Electric, the iconic model new 911, the high-performance 911 GT3, and the GTS lineup, known for sporty performance and high everyday usability.
Porsche plans to enhance brand competitiveness through the expansion of a nationwide network via robust dealer partnerships, improved after-sales service capabilities, and emphasizing the customer journey. Following the opening of the largest 'Porsche Service Center Seongsu' and the innovative retail concept 'Porsche Studio Hannam,' a new opening of 'Porsche Center Jeju' is imminent. The main stage of this mobility show was adorned by the brand's iconic model 'new 911,' which has set new standards for performance, design, and personalization. Notably, the mobility show features the debut of the '911 Carrera 4 GTS,' the first 911 capable of road driving equipped with an ultra-lightweight high-performance hybrid system.
The new 911 features improved design and aerodynamics, a new interior, upgraded standard equipment, and enhanced connectivity. The innovative powertrain system with a 3.6-liter displacement equipped in the 'new 911 Carrera GTS' delivers improved driving performance. The coupe model accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3 seconds, with a top speed reaching 312 km/h.
The 'new 911' equipped with a performance hybrid drive presents another technical milestone for Porsche sports cars. The technologies and know-how accumulated in motorsports have been applied to the design of the hybrid system. The lightweight and powerful T-hybrid system features a newly developed electric turbocharger.
Rooted in tradition yet forward-thinking, the 911 reflects innovative elements along with an attractive portfolio in every generation. The 'new 911' improves aerodynamic characteristics and adds cooling capabilities necessary for a fundamentally enhanced drive system. The Porsche booth at this mobility show consists of two main sections embodying Porsche's core values: one representing 'Gran Turismo Sport' with the GTS model, and the other featuring a pure electric vehicle lineup showcasing innovative E-performance.
