Kia unveiled the purpose-built vehicle (PBV) PV5 for the first time in the country. The PV5 was developed to be utilized for various purposes desired by the driver, such as mobility services, logistics, and leisure activities, by applying the vehicle structure of PBV and advanced technology.
Jung Won-jeong, vice president of Kia's domestic business division, noted on the 3rd at the '2025 Seoul Mobility Show' held at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, that "the PV5 best represents the direction of mobility innovation that Kia is pursuing."

The PV5 offers various models tailored to customers' transportation needs, including passenger transport, cargo transport, and support for the mobility of vulnerable travelers such as wheelchair users. Based on ample interior space, it can also be used for specific purposes such as camping and refrigerated trucks.
The PV5 features Kia's PBV-exclusive platform 'E-GMP.S' for the first time. Its flat and wide platform, resembling a skateboard, enables the installation of various upper bodies (the vehicle's upper structure) for different purposes, showcasing a diverse lineup of small, medium, and large PBVs.
At this exhibition, Kia unveiled two concept cars for the PV5 in collaboration with LG Electronics. The 'Spielraum' concept car, designed for customers who need workspace, is equipped with AI appliances such as a styler, smart mirror, and coffee machine. 'Spielraum' means 'play space' in German.
The 'Spielraum Glow Cabin' concept car for 'car picnic,' a compound of automobile and picnic, was also displayed. The vehicle features a refrigerator, microwave oven, and wine cooler, providing a unique experience for customers enjoying outdoor activities.
On that day, Kia also presented the world's first special concept model of its first pickup truck, the Tasman, called 'Tasman WKNDR.' The Tasman WKNDR was developed as a model for customers who enjoy outdoor activities, based on the existing shape and performance of the Tasman.
The Tasman WKNDR is equipped with ▲35-inch tires optimized for off-road driving ▲body color type over fenders that wrap the tires (components that expand the vehicle wheelhouse to accommodate wider tires and help improve the appearance and protect the body) ▲multi rails for installing action cameras, lanterns, and more.
The exclusive electric vehicle lineup, centered around the 'Kia EV4' unveiled in February of this year, also included the EV3 GT-line and EV9 GT. The EV4 is the fourth electric vehicle introduced in the domestic market, following Kia's first dedicated electric vehicle EV6, which was launched in 2021, and the EV9 and EV3.
